Privacy Laws In The United States
In the US, a similar privacy act is has passed in the state of California. Gov. Jerry Brown signed the Consumer Privacy Act on, June 28, 2018. The bill gives California residents significantly more control over data collection, use and how it’s handled. While the law will not take effect until January 2020, it sets an important precedent as many believe now is the time for a national standard.
