Champion Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a nonprofit organization with a goal of increasing childhood literacy by providing free books to registered children from birth all the way through their 5th birthday. By providing each child one book per month, they can have a personal library of 60 books by the time they start Kindergarten. Located near Dolly’s hometown of Sevierville, TN, the Imagination Library sends books to millions of children each month across the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom. What a program!
Like any goodwill organization, the Imagination Library is always looking to expand and grow so more children can experience the joy of reading. Being a nonprofit organization, the success of the program is dependent upon community investors to start their own Imagination Library in their community as a Program Champion. As more and more families and hometowns across the globe become interested, the organization needed a way to easily communicate the process of starting a program.
As SD Professionals set out to create this instructional video, we wanted to clearly define the necessary steps to getting started. We had already designed the website and registration process, so naturally, we knew the easiest and best ways to start a program. What is seen on the video begins with animated screenshots of the actual website. By doing so, Program Champions can easily identify the proper channels on the website rather than wasting time searching for resources.
The video continues with more animated screenshots and text to guide the viewer through the website as an Imagination Library employee provides the voiceover. The step-by-step screenshots continue until the process is complete. The SD Professionals animation team provided some closing graphics consistent with the Imagination Library branding and now these Program Champions are ready to get started providing wonderful FREE literature to the children in their communities!
