S.D. Professionals, LLC Lands Multiple Wins at 42nd Annual Telly Awards
S.D. Professionals, in partnership with Dolly Parton and The Dollywood Foundation, has garnered four Telly Awards for the “Goodnight with Dolly” web series
When the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to stop the world from turning, Dolly Parton assembled her talented team members to brainstorm ideas about how they could make a positive impact during a difficult time. Dolly had been working on several projects that would release later in the year, but she wanted to act fast and do something extra special for children who suddenly found themselves staying at home all the time. She simply wanted to give them something to look forward to each week.
Developing a Hit Series
Having worked with Dolly for over 20 years, S.D. Professionals, LLC not only built and maintains DollyParton.com, it has also played an integral role in Dolly’s ongoing work with her cherished Imagination Library.
When the release of “The Library That Dolly Built,” a documentary film about the Imagination Library, was moved from April 2020 to December 2020 due to the pandemic, the S.D. Pros team acted quickly. They volunteered their time and resources to provide 10 weeks of custom, original content to everyone who had been looking forward to the film.
SD Pros specializes in creating extraordinary online experiences, and that is exactly what they did in developing and bringing the “Goodnight with Dolly” web series to life.
“Goodnight with Dolly”
“Goodnight with Dolly” debuted on April 2, 2020 and ran for 10 consecutive weeks. Each week, Dolly chose a book from her beloved Imagination Library and read a bedtime story to children all over the world.
SD Pros created the unique online space on both the Imagination Library Facebook page and YouTube channel, making it accessible to any child with internet access. The series was a hit across the globe, garnering over 13 million views, and has now been honored with multiple Telly Awards.
Telly Awards
The prestigious Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens, including web series. “Goodnight with Dolly” was recognized in four Telly Awards categories:
• Gold Telly Winner for Online Series-Webseries: Non-Scripted
• Silver Telly Winner in Online Series-Webseries: Music
• Silver Telly Winner in Online Series-Series: Education & Discovery
• Silver Telly Winner Social Video Series-Series: Media & Entertainment
