When it comes to using social marketing to reach potential customers, it makes perfect sense to use the tool that has more than 500 million users. Big brands have recently taken to Twitter to give back to the fans.
On Monday, Chick-Fil-A started their campaign for #CowAppreciationDay encouraging their fans to dress up like a cow on Friday, July 13th. No, this isn’t a Trick-or-Treat in July. The restaurants are giving away free food to those showing up dressed head to hoof.
Chicken isn’t the only one making some social noise. Starbucks is launching a brand new energy drink called the “Refresher”. This Friday, fans can swing by participating locations and try one for FREE … as long as you celebrate #StarbucksRefreshers on Twitter.
And finally, 7-Eleven gave away free Slurpee to their customers on Wednesday. Notice the date from Wednesday? July 11th … 7-11.
The company proclaimed it to be #7elevenday and celebrated their customers. The promotion didn’t last all day, only between 11am and 7pm. Naturally.
